French Toast has always been a favorite at our house. When the kids were still at home we would eat it for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It didn’t matter the time of day! If something is good you just want to eat it!
) Right?! We don’t like ours very eggy, if you do, just adjust the milk in the recipe.
French Toast and Homemade Syrup: My Way
Here’s what you will need:
2 Eggs
3/4 cups Milk
1 tablespoon Vanilla
1 tablespoon Cinnamon
2 teaspoons Nutmeg
In a pie plate or shallow container whisk eggs,
add milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg; whisk until well blended.
Spray Pam cooking spray on preheated pan or grill.
Dip bread into egg/milk mixture. Turning bread over to coat both sides well.
Place in buttered pan and cook on stove until done.
Homemade Syrup
Here’s what you will need:
1/2 cup White Sugar
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Water
1 teaspoon Maple Flavoring or Extract
1 teaspoon Vanilla
Place sugars and water in a microwaveable glass container and place in microwave for one minute.
Remove from microwave; add maple and vanilla and stir.
