(slightly adapted from original recipe)
1/4 teaspoon Guar Gum
use a liberal amount of soap,
suds doggie all up and let him sit for several minutes.
Rinse and Repeat.
I will definitely use this doggie shampoo again.
The recipe above makes a good amount, so
you may want to cut it in half if you only have one dog.
I bathed all four doxies and used about half of the shampoo.
The shampoo may separate with time but don’t worry it is fine to use.
Just give it a good shake before you use it next time.
Go Check them out. Lots of other great ideas!
Someone was concerned about the use of grape seed oil on dogs,
so I went ahead and slightly changed the recipe.
Using almond oil or olive oil,
will work just as good in the recipe, as the grape seed oil.
The ASCPA says on their website that they have found
no evidence of grape seed oil,
in small quantities,
to be toxic to dogs.
Here is another site, Paw Pals,
that states that grapes are toxic but that grape seed oil is not.
Both grape seed oil and grape seed extract can be found in
dog food, dog treats, and can be bought as a supplement to give to your dogs.
Those are all taken internally.
This recipe is for topical use only,
and after a good thorough rinse,
the amount of grape seed oil left on your animals skin/hair will be very minimal.
You the reader, can choose for yourself, which oil you want to use when you make it.
No matter which oil you decide on,
know that you will be making a great homemade doggie shampoo
for your fur babies!
