This is THE one I like the BEST!
Let me start by saying, if you don’t like the smell of vinegar, you won’t like this recipe. It has a strong vinegar scent. Personally, I don’t care for the smell of vinegar, but it has amazing cleaning properties, and really with a little bit of time, the scent goes away.
This recipe is very easy to make and it only takes two or three ingredients!
Plus, you can clean your microwave at the same time!
What could be better than that!?

Here is what you will need:
Spray Bottle
1 cup White Vinegar
1 cup Dawn Dish Soap or Liquid Castile Soap
Hot Tap Water, if desired
Place vinegar in a microwave safe bowl. Heat in microwave for 1-2 minutes.
Remove bowl from microwave.
Clean microwave, if desired.
I always give it a good wipe down when I do this.

Next, add the soap to the vinegar and slowly mix with a whisk.
Place in spray bottle.
Now, if you have tough soap scum, use as is.
For those with less soap scum, add 1/2 cup hot tap water, more or less, depending on your preference.
Play around with this part and find what works for you.
Start with a little water, you can always add more!
Shake gently to mix.
Don’t forget to label your spray bottle!

To use:
Spray cleaner on walls, bath tub, shower doors, etc.
I always spray it on after someone has showered.
You don’t have to do this.
I just think it helps with the cleaning process,
and it is just what I have done for years!

Leave on for one hour and then scrub and rinse off.
Do you know the trick to keeping your shower from getting soap scum?
I don’t do it, I’m lazy, but I have friends that swear by it.
Here it is:
Dry the shower and bath tub with a towel after every use!
This cuts down on how often you need to clean!
Enjoy your clean shower! (And microwave!)

My mom dries her shower after every use and it does work. No soap scum, no mold, no mildew or discolored grout. I however must admit to laziness in that part, so much so that I take baths when I visit so I don’t have to wipe it down, lol. I like your cleaner idea better!
I would do the same thing to avoid having to wipe it all down. lol
I need to give this a try. I prefer to use a “green” cleaner as opposed to something really harmful.
I am still using and making this cleaner all these months later.
