3 Ingredient Pumpkin Cake

If you love pumpkin, this cake is definitely for you. An even bigger perk to this cake is that, in addition to being amazingly delicious, it only takes three ingredients to make! Top it with some cinnamon whipped cream and you have fall on your dessert plate.


1 box of spice cake mix

⅔ cup water

1 can pumpkin puree {not pumpkin pie filling}



Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9×9 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water and pumpkin. Stir well to combine. Pour into prepared baking sheet.

Bake, in preheated oven, for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before cutting.

Trust me you’ll want to consider making this cinnamon whipped cream icing to top your pumpkin cake. It’ll be the flavor that you need and is also super easy to whip up! 

Optional Cinnamon Whipped Cream:

2 cups cold heavy cream

1 cup powdered sugar

1 ½ tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract


In a large bowl, beat all ingredients until stiff peaks form.
