DIY Citrus Avocado Face Mask

Supplies needed:
1 ripe Avocado
1 small Lemon
1 small Orange
1 teaspoon Olive Oil

Your concoction will look like something you wish to dip tortilla chips into, but the truth is you are creating a vitamin rich mask for your skin. Chances are you already have a great deal of these supplies in your own kitchen, making this a mask that you can whip up anytime you need a boost.

1. Peel and pit your avocado. Place it in a blender or food processor along with the olive oil. Blend well.
2. Squeeze the juice of one small lemon and one small orange into the mixture. If you wish, feel free to add some peel zest. It will give the mask a slight bit of roughness that can act as a loofah on your skin.
3. Mix the ingredients well until you have a smooth and creamy product.

You will want to use this mask as soon as it is ready. Even with the lemon juice, the avocado will quickly brown if left out in the air.

Apply the mask with fingers or a soft brush to your face, taking care to avoid the eyes or any sensitive areas. As always, test a small patch of skin first to make sure your skin will not have adverse reactions to the mixture. Leave it on your face 5-7 minutes. It will begin to dry and slightly brown. When time is up, use warm water to remove, massaging the mixture in a circular motion on your face as you do. It will gently slough away deal skin while it moisturizes and send vital nutrients into your healthy skin.

Get that healthy glow when you give this Citrus Avocado mask a try. It is sure to become one of your favorites!
