Coffee Filter Crafts – Beach Themed Wreath
- plain white coffee filters – approximately 150
- inexpensive plastic photo frame with glass removed
- hot glue and glue gun
- shells, star fish, coral or other beach finds
This wreath is so simple to make and costs very little money!
The first thing you will need to do is to separate the coffee filters and make them into flowers. You can do this by pushing the center of the filter over your index finger, pinching, and twisting it to create a blossom.
After you have created many, many coffee filter blossoms, you’ll begin attaching them to the photo frame with hot glue. You’ll want to use lots of blossoms and attach them close together to give the wreath a very full look. I used a rectangular frame to give the wreath a little more interest and make it more unique. Plus, Dollar Store photo frames are inexpensive!
After you have attached all of your coffee filter blossoms you will begin attaching the shells and other beach treasures. These can be attached with hot glue as well. I like the look of the shells and concentrated on the lower left corner of the wreath but you could certainly place them anyway you like.
These shells were from our trip to the California beaches and now we have a great wreath to keep the memories from our trip fresh. It’s a great summertime wreath or perfect for a home with a beachy theme. It would be cute in a breezeway, sun room, or even a bathroom!
If the beach theme isn’t for you, imagine the endless possibilities of fun embellishments you could add!
