Supplies needed:
1 cup of All Natural Super Washing Soda (Arm & Hammer makes a variety of this that works well with this recipe.)
2 tablespoons of dried basil, or 2-3 sprigs of fresh basil crushed
1 lemon
Storage jar with lid

That’s it! Four ingredients are all you need to whip up this powerful recipe! You can of course double the recipe depending on the size of your jar or your cleaning needs.

Directions:
1. Begin by pouring your washing soda into a jar.
2. Cut your lemon into quarters. Squeeze the juice into the washing soda. You will notice some fizzing take place. This is a natural chemical reaction and should not be a concern.
3. You can discard the lemon peels, or chop them up finely and add them to the mixture. The oils that remain in them will be an added perk to the mixture, however will make a little more work for you when it comes time to use the product.
4. Sprinkle in your basil and mix well.
5. Allow the mixture to sit for an hour or so to give the oils and ingredients a chance to mix well.

When you are ready to use the product, you just need to sprinkle it on to your counter tops. Be sure to test a small patch first to make sure it will not cause any harm to the finish of your counters. Take a damp rag, and then start rubbing circles into the scrub. The washing soda will clean the surface and loosen any dirt, while the lemon oils cut through grime and leave a fresh scent along with the basil. Together, these three ingredients get the job done! Wipe the surface clean with a damp cloth, removing any scrub left behind.

So why not whip a batch up yourself? All you have to lose are dirty counter tops!

Lemon is a great way to cut through grease! I use lemon in a bowl of water in my microwave to clean it out. Just wipes off all the grease and grime!
