DIY Split Ends Treatment

I color my hair on a monthly basis and it doesn’t take much for it to become dry and dull. Does your hair have ends that are splitting and fraying? Even if you don’t color your hair like I do, everyday styling and the use of irons and straightening products can cause your hair to become dry and damaged. When your hair becomes dry, it can look frizzy, coarse, and become quite unruly. Well the good news is you don’t have to deal with dry hair and split ends anymore! Instead, treat this problem naturally when you try my DIY split ends treatment. Using a few items you can find in your kitchen, this DIY split ends treatment is nothing short of a quick fix. Supplies needed:
1 cup of Mayonnaise (Organic or Homemade is best.)
2 tablespoons of Olive Oil
¼ cup of Apple Cider Vinegar
Bowl

As you can see, these are all items you probably already have in your kitchen, making this a recipe that is fast and frugal to try!

Directions:
1. Begin by combining the above ingredients into a mixing bowl. Stir well until all of the ingredients are mixed evenly.
2. Take the mixture by hand (you may wish to wear gloves if you are worried about getting your hands messy) and apply it generously to the ends of your hair. You want to focus on the dry, splitting ends, which is typically the last 2 inches or so of your hair.
3. Massage the mixture gently into your hair. Allow it to set for 15 minutes.
4. Rinse with luke warm water when time is up. You can shampoo if you wish to make sure you get rid of all of the mixture.

The mayonnaise and olive oil together will add generous amounts of moisture to your hair, while the vinegar will give it a stellar shine! Together, these products help minimize the appearance of dried, split ends and give you hair that looks moisture rich.

Gather your supplies and give this simple DIY split ends treatment a try. It is an easy fix for those split ends.
