Welcome to Foodie Friends Friday: Chocolate Edition
This week we are celebrating International CHOCOLATE Day! We love chocolate around here! How about you? (Or are you one of the crazy people that don’t like chocolate? Please tell me it isn’t so!) Did you know that chocolate was first used to make alcohol? They would ferment the sweet pulp of the chocolate to do this. Did you know that chocolate grows on trees or that the cacao beans were used as a currency? I wonder if this is where the saying “money tree” comes from. What about the German Chocolate cake? Was it really from Germany? Nope, it is called German Chocolate because the man that created the dark chocolate was Sam German and he was from America! You’ve heard of “Baker’s German’s Sweet Chocolate”, right? Well, it was named after Sam German! Oooh! This has put me in the mood for some chocolate! Hmm Should I have hot chocolate or chocolate milk or maybe some chocolate chip cookies!? Decisions, Decisions! What is a girl to do! I’m thinking that this girl should get on with the CHOCOLATE P-A-R-T-Y! Share a new chocolate recipe, an old favorite, a”must try” recipe, a sweet tempting recipe, a go-to chocolate recipe, or any other kind of chocolate recipe that you can think of! We can’t wait to check them all out and pick our Host’s Favorites!
To find out who the most votes, most clicked and host’s favorites were, head over to Daily Dish Magazine Host’s Favorite Post!
