Gifts in a Jar: Peppermint Foot Scrub

Gifts in a Jar: Peppermint Foot Scrub
Peppermint Foot Scrub

I know I am repeating myself but I love sugar scrubs! I love how easy and cheap they are to make, I love knowing exactly what ingredients are in them, and I love that they make great gifts that everyone enjoys! This Peppermint Foot Scrub smells amazing! I am calling it a foot scrub, but seriously, you can use it anywhere you want.

Peppermint Foot Scrub
Here is what you will need:
2 cups Sugar
1/2 cup Grapeseed Oil
1 teaspoon Peppermint Essential Oil

Combine ingredients and place in a clean, dry jar of choice.

To use scrub: Place a small amount of the scrub in your wet hand, and massage into foot. Rinse, and pat dry.

This makes about 3 half pint size jars of sugar scrub.

I like using grapeseed oil or almond oil in my sugar scrubs. Neither of them add a scent to the scrubs and they tend to be a little less “oily” feeling when you use the scrubs. You can use whatever your favorite oil is in these kinds of recipes. I know some people like to use olive oil because it is an oil that most of us already have on hand. Personally, I don’t like to us it because it has a distinct scent and makes the scrubs feel too oily when I use it. Of course, that is just my opinion.

I also have a Coconut Sugar Scrub and a Coffee Sugar Scrub. It would make a great gift to put all three scrubs in a cute basket and give as a gift to someone special.

Do you have a favorite sugar scrub that you make? I’d love to hear about it!
