How to make a No Sew Fleece Tie Blanket

Today, I am going to show you how to make a No Sew Fleece Tie Blanket. These blankets are so easy to make and they are super soft! They make great gifts for every occasion. Of course, you don’t have to give them as gifts! I have at least four of them that I made just for us! I love snuggling under them. (and so do the dogs!)

Here is what you will need:
2 yards of Fleece Material
2 yards of another piece of Fleece Material
Quilt Cutting Mat
Scissors or Rotating Cutter
Quitlers Measuring Grid (not sure if that is what it is really called)
Stick Pins
First, trim the edges using the rotating cutter or scissors.
Next, you want to pin the two pieces of fleece together. Fleece usually has one side that is kind of blurry compared to the other side. Put the two blurry sides together.
Place pins about 5 inches from the edge, and about 3 to 5 inches apart from each other.
Do this along all four edges.
Next, you want to cut a 4×4 square out of each corner.
Put the squares off to the side and save them for a different project.
Now, you want to measure and cut one inch strips.
The strips will be one inch wide by four inches long.
Continue cutting the strips around the entire blanket.
Now the fun part starts! You are going to start with one set of the strips.
Tie your strips into a knot.
Keep tying each strip all around the blanket.
I tie several strips and then kind of pull/tug the line of tied strips.
This helps it to not get bunched up.
And there you have it!
Your very own No Sew Fleece Tie Blanket!!

Yes, these are really easy to make. Keep your eye out for the fleece to go on sale. My Jo-Ann fabrics is always having a sale on theirs.

Hi ! Wondering if you would know how much fabric it would take to make a double sized blanket and also the size for a twin size blanket ?

    Many thanks !
