How to Roast Garlic

This week on Kitchen Basics 101 we will learn how to roast garlic
Take a bulb of garlic and cut it in half. Rub olive oil on the tops of each half and wrap them in aluminum foil. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until the bulb of garlic feels soft when you squeeze it.
How to Roast Garlic
Allow the garlic to cool so you can touch it without burning yourself. You can use a knife to push the garlic cloves out or just squeeze with your fingers.
Now, what to do with all this delicious roasted garlic?
Mash with a fork and add melted butter.
Spread over Italian bread and add some chopped parsley.
Place the bread on top of a baking sheet and broil for a few minutes
and you have the most delicious garlic bread to serve with dinner tonight.
Have you ever roasted your own garlic? If you haven’t you really should give it a try!

Oh my goodness, how easy! I have been separating each clove, peeling it and then putting in a covered dish to roast. I found it burnt in the foil. This is way easier than how I have been doing it. Thanks!

You just taught me something here and now that we are having spaghetti tonight and garlic bread, I will be trying this one. Thank You!
