September Foodie Penpal

The Lean Green Bean

This month my Foodie Penpal was Ali from WHOLEistically Fit.
Here is a photo of all the yummy things she sent me!

I’ve been so busy studying for my certification, I  haven’t had a chance to give everything a try! I can’t wait to cook with the chili’s and make up a batch of Ali’s Chicken Taco Soup! I opened the Teriyaki sauce/marinade and gave it a big whiff. Yum!! It is going to make a delicious marinade for my BBQ’d chicken. Ooohhh and did you see the jar of Pumpkin Spice Latte Mix! Hello!! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

Thanks so much Ali for a great box of goodies!

Now, I want to share what I sent to my foodie penpal.
Angela doesn’t have a blog, so we thought we would share it here.

Let’s see if I can remember everything I included in her box. I sent a jar of my homemade ranch dressing mix, a jar of homemade BBQ sauce, a cranberry pecan brownie mix, a box of my favorite Lindor white chocolate truffles, a little bottle of vanilla extract that I made, and a jar of my pumpkin spice sugar scrub.

Here’s what Angela emailed me about her box!

Robyn, Thank you kindly for all of the wonderful goodies you sent me!  I can’t wait to use the pumpkin scrub you made. And the homemade barbecue sauce will be splendid to use when we tailgate next weekend! My mom has already asked to use the vanilla extract you made too. Thanks to you, I have my own personal mix to make ranch dressing….you are awesome! Of course, I saved the sweets for last….I hid the white chocolate truffles from my son! They are delicious!!! However, I will think about sharing the cranberry pecan brownies. This was the best foodie penpal package ever!!!

Be Blessed!

Your foodies penpal,

Angela J.

I can’t wait to see whose name I get next month! Will it be you?

So far, I have only tried the “fruit leather fiber.” They were good! I can’t wait to do something with the chili’s! I’ve never bought whole chili’s before. I usually just buy them in a can. lol I have been to busy studying for my certification at work to cook! Poor Ryo! I can’t wait to try the other things too. You should sign up Samantha! It is super easy and a lot of fun to get a “surprise” in the mail each month.

I think it is something my husband would love. He’s the cook of the house. I like to think more of myself as the official taste tester! However it would be a nice surprise for him.
