Hello and Welcome to my About Me page!! I am thrilled to have you join me here. My name is Robyn and I am the owner of Robyn’s View.
I started blogging in February 2012, to have all of my projects and recipes in one place for me! I also wanted to join in on some of the parties I was reading about on the blogs that I was following. I had no idea what I was doing, but I jumped in with both feet. Isn’t that the best way to do anything! My blog started to grow the more I shared and posted. I was super excited and scared at the same time!
So, here we are now! Robyn`s View has become about all of YOU and not about me! I want Robyn’s View to be a place where you can find some new recipes, make some homemade products for yourself, and find a fun craft to do! I also want to get to know you and make some new friends! Isn’t that one of the best things about all of this. Getting to know people!!
Here are some little tidbits about me!
I am actually very shy!! Kind of funny, huh!? I suppose this has become my outlet for putting myself out there.
I can be too sensitive at times. Not a good thing for a blogger. :o) But, I am learning that one or two, or three negative comments or remarks, versus hundreds of good ones, is going to happen. We each have our own opinions, thoughts and feelings about things. Be easy on me, Ok?!
I was a stay-at-home mom to my two (son and daughter), now adult, children. I loved it and am so thankful that I was able to do that. I loved being able to help out at their schools, work on fundraisers, be at all of their sports activities, etc. They are both married, and my daughter has two children of her own. There is nothing like being a grandma!! It is the best thing in the world, next to being a momma, of course. I also have four doxies, 2 cats, and four chickens, all of which are a huge part of our family. I love my fur babies.
I was married for almost 20 years. I never thought we would divorce but things happen, people change, and sometimes you have no control of the situation. I am now with Ryo. I call him my husband because “boyfriend” or “partner I live with” doesn’t sound like a permanent thing. He has never been married and doesn’t want to. be I never thought that I would be ok with “just” living with someone, but sometimes you change your views on how you feel about different subjects as you “get older.” He is a total sweetheart and I am very happy to be with him!! I hope I get to spend the rest of my life with him. See, sometimes divorce ends up being the best thing to happen in your life.
More interesting facts about me! I love crime shows! CSI, Criminal Minds, NCIS, just to name a few. We watch tons of movies too!! My top two favorite movies are Pride and Prejudice, and Ever After. I can’t tell you how many times I have watched them! I like anything in those era’s. I also like, Braveheart, King Arthur, and other movies like them.
I love going to the beach! It is beautiful, calming, relaxing, and sometimes you can find some really cool stuff! I love tide pools and seeing all of God’s living creatures in their natural habitat. I am a christian, but it won’t be something that I will talk about on the blog.
I work full-time as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant. What is that, you ask. Basically, I work at a local eye clinic. All of the physician’s that I work for are medical doctor’s that specialize in the eyes, and are surgeon’s. I can do a lot of different things in the office, but to keep things short, I would be the person that would do all of the pre-testing and get you ready to see the doctor. I would also be the person that would be in the exam room with you and the doctor. I would be writing down all of the notes from your exam, charging out the cost of your exam, and then scheduling any further test that may be needed. I do pretty much everything except look in your eyes with the microscope. :)
I hope this helps you to get to know me a little bit better! If you want to know anything else, just ask! I’d love to hear from you! Leave a comment or send me an email me and we can talk! ( firstname.lastname@example.org)
